The recommendation
MERENIC (mə-REN-ik) is a coined working name selected for its measured sound, compact form and institutional register. It has no claimed historical or linguistic derivation. It can naturally identify the MERENIC Specification, MERENIC Standard and MERENIC Edition 01.
Make the evidence hold. The tagline joins measurement with resilience without asserting validated results. “Built to the MERENIC Specification” becomes appropriate only once a concrete conformance statement exists. Avoid “MERENIC-certified” until a certification programme is actually governed and operating.
MERENICThe mark is a folded orange ribbon forming a letter M, preceded by a single point. It is used in full colour on light backgrounds, beside the MERENIC wordmark.
Two alternatives
MERALITH suggests material permanence and a formal body of work. It is less directly related to evidence and its “lith” ending may imply materials or architecture. A preliminary exact-name web search did not establish an obvious competing technical standard; clearance remains open.
METHEXIS has conceptual associations with participation, but pronunciation is less immediate and existing spatial-AI use creates a meaningful technology conflict. It is a reserve creative direction only, not a cleared fallback. Existing Methexis product ↗
Naming screen & limits
Twenty-four candidates were considered across conceptual fit, memorability, seriousness, pronunciation, visual form, extensibility, relation to the thesis and collision risk. The internal longlist and decision rationale are included in the dossier; no decorative numerical ranking is used.
Several attractive candidates were rejected after actual conflict checks: Meridian AI Standard overlaps too closely in naming; Metron already operates in simulation and technical evaluation; Metrion is an existing platform; Metrava is used for business infrastructure; and Metriven is already a metrics-based competition platform.
Exact-name and indexed company, technology, GitHub, LinkedIn and trademark searches for MERENIC returned no obvious matching technical initiative in this review. Unrelated personal-name occurrences exist. This is a preliminary screen, not a clearance result. Domain registration and social handle availability have not been verified or reserved. Proposed forms such as merenic.org and @merenic are candidates, not owned properties.
WIPO’s public guidance recommends national and regional searches alongside its global database. Registry-level examination, similar marks and relevant goods/services classes remain for professional review before a public brand launch. [31]
Identity system
Graphite, silver and a single signal-orange accent. Large, restrained typography. Fine boundaries and numbered evidence labels. Original studio-rendered 3D imagery illustrates a bounded system; functional diagrams explain what changes inside it. The generated image is conceptual and does not depict deployed CyberMindSpace infrastructure.
Use the mark at 16 px or larger and retain clear space at least equal to the diameter of the point. Do not recolour, redraw or distort the mark, and do not add shields, a fabricated seal of certification or claims of endorsement.
